Sara Robin MA Thesis on Arisings in Path Management

In 2007, Sara Robin of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust researched the impact of the raking off of ‘arisings’ after the verge along the path had been mown. The assumption was that this would promote biodiversity though, perhaps because of intervening variable such as unseasonal weather, the results were inconclusive. More research is needed.
