This item lists the sequence of station and closures leading up to the diversion of the East Coast Mainline between Doncaster and York, by-passing the Selby swing bridge and the proposed Selby coalfield. Re-configured to link York to Selby and Hull via new diversion.

Riccall Goods Yard : closed 1964

2/4/67 Naburn and Escrick South signal boxes closed leaving York to Riccall section ??????

11/7/67 AHBs commissioned and York-Selby became ???????

Panel installed in Selby South controlling York Selby line in 1972

Moved to Selby ????? 1973

24/9/83 York to Barlby closed

2/10/83 Diversion opens

Riccall By-pass opened 1987
