Soundscape – Moving to the Selby pit

This is a compilation of memories of miners, now retired and working as guides at the National Coal Mining Museum for England, who moved to the new Selby coalfield. Most strikingly they refer to the huge contrast in terms of size and technology between Selby and more traditional pits where they had worked previously.
